Privacy Please!

I was driving home the other night, heading north bound on I294, just past Irving Park Road and right before merging on to the Kennedy. The driver in the car to my right made a jerky movement that caught my eye. He did it again…what on earth was he doing?!?!

The man was reaching up his nose and PLUCKING NOSE HAIRS WITH HIS FINGERS!!

EW!!!

There are just so many things wrong with this!! First of all, I understand personal grooming (men, do pay attention to long nose hairs and trim them…women do notice—don’t make me name names!!). But number one please use tweezers or maybe even a personal trimmer (men like gadgets right?—It’s an excuse to go to the Sharper Image for pete’s sake!!). And two, please do the grooming in the privacy of your own bathroom, not while driving 70 miles an hour on an eight lane expressway!

I just don’t get it. Why, why, why would one feel the need to do this? Not only is it icky, but dangerous--the jerking movements, distracting other drivers or even him grabbing one that makes his eyes tear.

Forget banning cell phone usage while driving. I think the personal grooming while driving is much worse!!
